If you look at my suggestions for where to go in Taipei, you’ll realize there are a lot of riverside parks. As I mention in all of them, riverside parks are great in that they offer flexibility and a wide view.
Among these, Huazhong is a good choice in Wanhua.
From here, you can see the Guangfu Bridge (which lights up at dusk), Yangmingshan, Zhonghe on the opposite side of the river, and the cars and scooters coming and going on the road next to the park. All of this together provides for some pretty cool shots.
There is a pedestrian bridge that gives you a higher angle to take pictures from, which I’ve linked to below.
Getting to the park is easy with a scooter/car/bike.
With public transit, bus is the quickest. The Chong Qing Main Line and 260 bus both stop at the park. If you take MRT, it’s a bit of a trek from Longshan Temple, the nearest station (30 minutes walking or 10 minutes biking).
