KW2 (棧貳庫)

Kaohsiung’s Port Warehouse is a fantastic place to walk around and take pictures of the sunset, with ships, Qijin Island, and the people at the port adding perspective to the shots.

The warehouse inside is huge, and has plenty of seats. You can have an afternoon snack, work, or do anything you want there while watching the port through the huge windows. If you’re feeling lazy, you don’t even have to go outside for the sunset. But if you do, you’ll see a fair amount of people along the water taking pictures and enjoying the setting sun.

If you do have a chance, you can go to Xiziwan or make the very short trip to Qijin Island and watch the sunset from there.

You can get to KW2 by car – there’s a parking lot at the warehouse. You can also take the Kaohsiung MRT to Sizihwan Station and walk about 5 minutes to the pier.
