There are many riverside parks along the Keelung River in Taipei, and Dajia Riverside Park is a favorite among many. It’s the one you see on the right (north) of Highway 1 if you’re coming into Taipei from the east, with Songshan Airport on the opposite side of the road.
In terms of sunsets, it’s got wide vistas, a view of Taipei 101, a view of airplanes leaving and coming to Songshan Airport, a super close view of the Grand Hotel, and in the spring, pretty flowers.
There are many angles here that you can experiment with, as it is a big park. You can walk or bike around at your leisure and get creative. I could go here at sunset a hundred times to take pictures and capture something different every time.
It takes about 30 minutes by bus from Main Station to get to the park, or from Dazhi Station on the brown line you can get over to the park by bike in less than 10 minutes, or walk over in less than 20.
