The Crescent Bridge is a favorite spot among people down in the Banqiao/Xinzhuang areas (it links the two).
The bridge itself serves as a beautiful background for sunset pictures, with shots of nearby flowers or the lotus pond in the foreground. Or, you can go atop the bridge and take pictures of the sunset over the Tamsui River from there.
Crescent Bridge (which is for pedestrians only) attracts families, couples, bikers, runners, and the like. The bridge lights up at night, so many come from the night views as well.
The bridge is connected to riverside parks, and thus one of the best ways of getting to it is by bike or walking.
The closest MRT station is Xinzhuang Station. From there, you can walk about 15 minutes, or bike about 5 minutes to get to the bridge.
There are also multiple buses (like the 257, 513, 635, 637, 639, 783, and 797), that transit to Xinzhuang Station from Taipei Main Station, though you’ll still have the same walking/biking distance as above to the bridge.
On the Banqiao side, the closest station is Xinpu Minsheng Station. Banqiao Station is also not too far (about 10 minutes biking-wise).
